HOW TO REGISTER
We're using two services to manage registration this year: Eventbrite, where you purchase tickets, and Sched, where you build your own symposium schedule using those tickets.
You'll have an account with both of these services. You must use the same email for both, and we recommend using the same password to make things easier.
1. Purchase your tickets on Eventbrite
2. Create your account on Sched
You will be automatically redirected to Sched to create your schedule. You will also receive an email from Sched (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a link to activate your schedule.
Didn't receive an email? Activate your Sched account with your email address and Eventbrite Order ID.
3. Add items to your schedule
Check or uncheck an event to add or remove it from your personal schedule. Edit your schedule at any time on the Schedule page.
Be careful unchecking events with limited capacity, like workshops! If you remove it from your schedule and the capacity is full, you cannot add it back!
4. Build your experience with more tickets and add-ons
If you try to register for an event that your current tickets don't cover, you may see a pop-up message prompting you to purchase another ticket. You can attend more workshops and other events by purchasing add-on tickets, listed on the Add-ons page.
BY WHEN DO I NEED TO TRANSFER MY DEPOSIT? [+]
Deposits for symposium registration packages are 85% refundable until 15 May, 2018.
You can complete your registration at any time until 15 May, 2018. However, you will not be able to sign up for events during the symposium until you have completed your registration by transferring your deposit to a full-price ticket and paying the balance.
HOW DO I TRANSFER MY DEPOSIT TO A FULL-PRICE TICKET? [+]
Sign in to your Eventbrite account to view your tickets, then select the deposit you'd like to transfer. Click on the transfer link and under "Ticket Type" click "Change Ticket" to apply your deposit towards another ticket type.
Pay the balance between the deposit and your chosen ticket.
Did you pay offline (check or invoice), or did we manually register you? You won't be able to transfer your ticket yourself. Please contact us for assistance.
HOW DO I TRANSFER TICKETS TO SOMEONE ELSE? [+]
Sign in to your Eventbrite account to view your tickets, then select the ticket you'd like to transfer. Click on the edit link and change the name and email address on the ticket. We recommend checking the box to notify the new attendee of the ticket transfer.
HOW DO I UPDATE MY REGISTRATION INFORMATION? [+]
Sign in to your Eventbrite account to view your tickets, then select the ticket you'd like to update information for. Click on the edit link to update your information including preferred roommate, dietary preference, and emergency contact information. Information is stored separately for each ticket, so you'll need to update every ticket in this way.
HOW DO I VIEW MY TICKETS / ORDER ID? [+]
Your Eventbrite Order ID is listed on your order, in your confirmation email and on your Eventbrite account. Every order has its own ID number.
You'll receive order confirmation emails from Eventbrite listing your tickets and related instructions. You can also sign in to your Eventbrite account to view all your ticket purchases.
Didn't make an account? Go to www.eventbrite.com/gettickets and enter the email you used at purchase. We recommend creating an Eventbrite account in order to keep track of your ticket information.
HOW DO I ACTIVATE MY SCHED ACCOUNT? [+]
When you purchase your tickets on Eventbrite, you will automatically receive an email from Sched (email@example.com) with a link to activate your schedule.
Didn't receive an email from Sched? Verify your registration by going to https://11iss2018.sched.com/eventbrite and entering your email and Eventbrite Order ID.
MY TICKETS DON'T SHOW UP ON MY SCHED ACCOUNT? [+]
When you purchase tickets, make sure that the attendee name and email on each ticket matches the person who will actually attend. The email on each ticket determines the Sched account that ticket will apply to.
Did the tickets go to the wrong person? Have the ticket purchaser or attendee transfer the ticket to you.
WHY CAN'T I ADD AN EVENT TO MY SCHEDULE? [+]
Certain events are restricted by ticket type; e.g. you can only register for an Arimatsu 1-Day Workshop if you've purchased that ticket, or you can only sign up for one half-day workshop in Arimatsu if you have a First Half ticket. Read what each ticket includes and purchase additional tickets on the Registration and Add-ons pages.
Did you purchase a deposit? You must transfer your deposit to a full-price ticket to sign up for specific events.
HOW DO I VIEW / PRINT MY SCHEDULE? [+]
Go to the Schedule page and mouse over your profile image (a blank silhouette if you haven't added a picture to your profile). Click "My Sched" in the drop down to see a list of all the events you've signed up for.
Don't see a profile picture? Make sure you're logged in by clicking the "Log In" link.
Print or email your schedule at any time by clicking the printer or mail icons on top of the right hand sidebar.
