HOW IT WORKS
Pop-up shops cost $55 USD for equipment rental in each city. Participants may choose to have a shop in Nagoya, Yamagata, or both (for a combined $110 USD). Each shop will be provided with 1 90 x 180cm (3 x 6ft) table with wheels and a raised rim, and 1 chair.
There will be staff on hand to watch over the shops and process sales (roughly two people and ten tables), so vendors need not be present at all times. The shops will be in protected indoor locations - the Takeda Shōten Sanban Gura in Arimatsu for the duration of the symposium in Nagoya, and a room inside the Onuma department store during the symposium in Yamagata. Shops will be advertised and open to the public.
Sales will be processed by ISS staff and a 15% commission will be charged on all sales. Participants must have a PayPal account to receive proceeds in case cash settlement on site is not possible.
Participants are responsible for carrying or shipping their goods to and from the symposium. If you choose to have a shop in both Nagoya and Yamagata, your goods will be transported from Nagoya to Yamagata for you by ISS staff.
Spaces are limited - shops are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, pending organizer approval.
